Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Inclusion

Kasson Mantorville Schools is committed to ensuring that all students, families, and community members have equal access to our digital programs and services. We are actively working to align our websites and digital content with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. We view digital accessibility as a vital part of our mission to provide effective communication and inclusive environments for all individuals, including those with vision, hearing, motor, or cognitive disabilities.

Current Progress

We are currently conducting an audit of our digital assets and prioritizing the remediation of high-value resources. While we strive for full conformance, we have identified the following known limitations:
  • Archived Web Content: Content created before our compliance deadline and retained exclusively for research or recordkeeping may not be fully accessible.

  • Preexisting Documents: Some legacy PDF reports and forms provided before our compliance date may lack full screen-reader compatibility.

  • Third-Party Content: Certain supplemental digital tools provided by external vendors are currently under review for compliance.

If you encounter a digital barrier, such as a PDF that is not readable by a screen reader or a video lacking accurate captions, please contact us:
Email: beth.giese@komets.k12.mn.us Phone: (507) 634-1100

We are committed to providing an accessible alternative format of our content. For specific questions regarding the district's digital accessibility program and our ongoing compliance efforts, please contact:

Name: Beth Giese, Superintendent & ADA Coordinator

Formal Complaint Process

Individuals who wish to file a formal complaint alleging a violation of digital accessibility standards under Section 508 or ADA Title II may do so by completing and submitting the Digital Accessibility Complaint Form.

Third-Party Content Disclaimer

Under federal law, the district is responsible for the accessibility of digital tools and platforms we provide through contractual or licensing arrangements. We are implementing accessibility requirements into our procurement process to ensure our vendors meet the technical standards mandated by the ADA.
