K-M KoMets vs Cancer

Uniting K-M in the Fight: KoMets vs. Cancer!

When cancer hits home, the Kasson-Mantorville community stands together! KoMets vs. Cancer is an energetic, student-led movement dedicated to lifting up local families fighting cancer. Every January and February, our Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Wrestling, Dance, Gymnastics, and FCCLA teams rally our schools, stands, and entire town around one big mission: supporting our neighbors when they need it most.

Direct Support: $2,000 Grants Available

No one should have to face a cancer journey alone. To help ease the load, KoMets vs. Cancer offers $2,000 financial grants to Kasson-Mantorville community members currently undergoing cancer treatment. These funds directly assist with medical bills, travel expenses, and lost income—providing relief right where it’s needed.

Driven by Students, Backed by Community

Every application is thoughtfully reviewed with utmost care and confidentiality by a dedicated panel of student leaders alongside trusted adult advisors, including local coaches, parent volunteers, FCCLA leadership, and Care & Share representatives. This unique collaboration empowers our youth to take real action and make a lasting impact!

Get in the Game: Events & Fundraising

The winter season is packed with high-energy events you won't want to miss! Come out, show your KoMet pride, and make a difference:

  • Home Game Silent Auctions: Bid on incredible items generously donated by local businesses, parents, and students during home games.
  • Annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament: Bring your game face and hit the court for a fast-paced, action-packed tournament!
  • District-Wide Spirit Days: Join energetic student-led awareness campaigns and pop-up fundraisers across all K-M schools.
