My name is Mark D. Matuska, and I have been the Superintendent of Schools at Kasson-Mantorville since July 2011.  Before landing at K-M, I held positions as a High School Biology Teacher, Middle School Principal, District Director for the United States House of Representatives and Assistant Commissioner for the Department of Natural Resources.  I am excited to be back in the educational realm and believe that my many experiences outside of education will bring a fresh perspective to my position as Superintendent.

The Kasson-Mantorville School District is “Committed to Excellence” in all that we do.  Our School Board, Administration, and Teachers have set extremely high academic and citizenship expectations for all students throughout the district.  Not only do we emphasize the continued development of lifelong skills for our students, we also strive to achieve at remarkable levels on standardized test.  Again this year, the elementary, middle and high school have achieved proficiency at the 99%ile on the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments.  By continuing to develop our classroom instructional strategies to meet the needs of today’s students, we are constantly improving our educational organization.

Kasson-Mantorville Schools also strives to meet our “Commitment to Excellence” in our co-curricular and extra-curricular programs.  Our student body is heavily engaged in a multitude of offerings that meet the many unique needs of our students.  Teachers offer a variety of before and after school clubs and programs to complement our educational curriculum.  We are extremely proud of our efforts to meet the needs of every child and keep them engaged in the learning process.

We are also pleased with the strong relationships we have developed with the communities of Kasson and Mantorville.  Both cities are warm, family-focused communities that understand the importance of a strong school system.  As a school, we also understand how vital this relationship is to our success with the students.

To our prospective and existing parents, thanks for visiting our website and learning more about the programs we offer at Kasson-Mantorville.  Please feel free to set up a visit to our school to visit with our staff and students.  We are confident you will encounter the KoMet Pride within our schools.

Go KoMets!
