The Purpose of Professional Development at K-M

The fundamental purpose of staff development is to improve student learning. We implement a site-based approach for both educational goals and staff development opportunities that best help meet these goals.

Providing teachers and school district staff with individual and organizational development opportunities prepares them to deliver excellent educational experiences for students.

To achieve this, Kasson-Mantorville commits to:

Graduate Course Pre-Approval

If you are taking Master's-level college credits that are directly relevant to your current teaching role, you must have them pre-approved by the Superintendent.

Out-of-District Professional Development Pre-Approval

If it is your content area's designated year to attend an out-of-district professional development event, please submit your request to the PD committee.
