Minnesota Student Data Privacy

Kasson-Mantorville Public Schools uses a variety of digital tools to support student learning. Technology vendors and software are utilized to support work as we help all students develop the skills necessary to succeed in an ever-changing world.  We have an inventory of our curriculum, testing, and assessment tools posted for review: K-M District Software and Student Data Privacy List.  This list includes an outline of the student data elements within each tool. This list is maintained and communicated annually to all families at the start of the school year.

Please contact us with questions regarding specific digital tools used in classrooms.

Financial Resources for Educational Expenses

Tax Credit for Educational Expenses

Save your receipts to qualify for state tax savings. Minnesota Revenue offers two distinct tax benefits for parents who purchase school supplies, field trips, musical instruments, or home learning computers and software for their K-12 students.

  • The K-12 Education Subtraction: Most Minnesota parents qualify for this benefit, which reduces your overall taxable income.

  • The K-12 Education Credit: Parents under certain income limits may qualify for this credit, which can refund up to 75% of your school-related costs—even if you do not owe any taxes.

For eligibility criteria and complete program details, read the Minnesota Revenue K-12 Tax Benefit Guide or review the K-12 Educational Tax Credit Flyer (PDF).
